This is one of my favorite smoothie recipes because it tastes like a milkshake. I don’t even taste the spinach. The recipe is from Simple Green Smoothies. I highly recommend their website if you’re interested in green smoothies. I follow them on instagram and they always have great ideas.
Ingredients (serves 2):
- 2 cups spinach or swiss chard, fresh
- 2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
- 2 cups red grapes, frozen
- 2 bananas
- 4 tbs almond butter
- Ice cubes (I added about 1 cup)
Blend spinach and almond milk until smooth. Next add the remaining fruits and ice cubes and blend again. Freeze your grapes overnight to chill this green smoothie.
Peanut butter would also be good. I might try that tomorrow!
