Here is a simple idea for lunch or dinner.
Spinach salad with cooked quinoa (I cooked mine with vegetable broth), sunflower seeds, dried cranberries and balsamic vinaigrette. Dried blueberries would be good too. One of my friends made it after I posted it on Instagram and added strawberries. I added garbanzo beans the second time I made it.
I haven’t posted in a while because I have been busy with my 3 month old and 3 year old daughters. I also started designing a book and doing some other freelance design work so trying to do all that plus housework and family time leaves me barely any time to keep up my blog. I still make as much food from scratch as I can for my family and when I have time, I take a photo and post it to my instagram account. I say where the recipe came from or I post a recipe there directly. It is faster and easy for me to keep that up. I am going to try and keep this up as much as I can though because a big reason I have this blog is for me to have recipes saved that we like.
I made this Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie this morning. It is a combination of a couple different recipes I found. I have a feeling I will be making this one a lot.
This recipe from Super Healthy Kids showed up in my Facebook feed. They looked so good that I just had to make them with some adjustments. They are a great afternoon treat! I used a NUK freezer tray to make these. Dixie cups, silicone ice trays or even popsicle molds would work too. Continue reading
These tacos are so easy to make. I’m normally not a huge fan of cauliflower but this might be one of my new favorite dinners. I couldn’t even tell there was cauliflower in there!
I have been craving vegetables lately (finally, a healthy pregnancy craving) so I randomly bought some fennel at the grocery store the other day. I had a lot of spinach at home so I googled fennel with spinach and found this simple salad. It was perfect for a light lunch.
